Need food? You're in the right place.

Free groceries for anyone in Luzerne, Carbon, or Monroe County, Pennsylvania. One call or text sets it up. The groceries cost nothing, and there's no judgment here.

Need food today? Call or text our hotline.
Free groceries by curbside pickup, with delivery for neighbors who can’t get to us.

How it works — three simple steps

  • 1. Call or text 570-801-2699. Tell us what you need and where you are. Se habla español — translation help is available. Our schedule changes, so the hotline always has the current days and times.
  • 2. Schedule a pickup. Text us to set up curbside pickup at our center at 121-B Berwick Street in Beaver Meadows. Curbside is always the first option.
  • 3. Get your groceries. Staples, fresh produce from our Garden of Eating, dairy, meat, and more. The groceries are free.

Monroe County distributions

We hold a drive-thru food distribution in Monroe County, usually on the fourth Sunday of every month. For 15 years we have also held distributions at the Avon Court and West Gate housing authority communities. Call or text 570-801-2699 to confirm the next date and location.

Delivery

If you truly can’t get to a pickup or distribution, we can deliver. Delivery is our last option because fuel, vehicles, and staff time are costly and not fully funded. Depending on distance and funding, we may ask for a donation toward delivery. Seniors and residents of low-income housing are usually not asked. Text us to schedule a delivery.

Food emergency?

If you or your children have nothing to eat right now, say so when you call or text. Because we own our building, we can respond to food emergencies around the clock — not just during pantry hours.

More than food

Economic strain rarely stops at the kitchen table. We have helped neighbors with housing and rental assistance, furniture, transportation, translation, employment leads, and referrals to physical and mental-health services through trusted partner agencies. If we can’t help directly, we’ll connect you with someone who can. Start the conversation — we’re good listeners.

Who qualifies?

Anyone in need. We don’t require proof of income, and our services are for people of every faith and background. Our motto isn’t “some people eat” — it’s everybody eats.
